GTA Circumcision is thrilled to have Dr. Andrew Suess as our circumcision provider.
Dr. Suess obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of Western Ontario in 2006. He subsequently completed a 5-year residency in anesthesiology at McGill University and was conferred the specialist designation of Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) in 2011. In 2012, he then went on to fulfill a 1-year fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesia at the University of Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children. During his fellowship, Dr. Suess obtained additional skills and expertise concerning the unique physiology and pain management needs of newborns, infants and children. After his fellowship, Dr. Suess obtained additional training in neonatal and infant circumcision which has been recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and meets the standards upheld by the Province of Ontario’s medical regulator.
Dr. Suess is currently active staff at a hospital in York Region, Ontario, serving the Greater Toronto Area. He also holds the position of Lecturer in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Toronto and is a Diplomate of the Canadian Academy of Pain Management. His practice includes providing anesthesia care to both adult and pediatric patients including patients who are pregnant, experiencing labour and delivery and have recently delivered their newborns.

As an anesthesiologist with over 20 years of experience in healthcare, who has additional training in neonatal and infant circumcision with an anesthesia practice spanning adult and pediatric patients, including pregnant, laboring, and newly postpartum individuals, Dr. Suess is an ideal circumcision provider. His extensive background brings a rare blend of procedural skill, neonatal and infant physiology knowledge, and subspecialty pain management experience tailored specifically to the youngest patients.
