These items must be confirmed before your baby can have the circumcision.

• Vitamin K Injection given.
• Weight Requirement: Baby needs to be at least 2.5 kilograms (5.5 pounds) on the day of the procedure.
• Age Limit: We generally do not perform circumcisions beyond 6 weeks of age.
• Diaper Rash: If your baby has a rash on his genitals, it is best to have this treated prior to circumcision and have it cleared up for 3 days. This can be done by his primary care physician/pediatrician.
• Fit-for-Procedure Assessment: Your baby must be assessed by a physician and deemed healthy. If this is not the case then please call the office and discuss with us.

Please inform our office prior to booking if any of the following applies to your baby:

• Bleeding Concerns
  • If your baby has any bleeding disorders or a history of abnormal bleeding/bruising.
  • If there are any bleeding conditions in your baby's parents and/or their families.
• General Medical Conditions
  • If your baby has any medical conditions including penis abnormalities.
• Premature Birth
  • The timing of circumcision in premature babies (born before 37 weeks) is very important and requires discussion.
• Jaundice
  • If your baby is being followed/treated for jaundice, it is important for us to ensure it is resolved prior to the procedure.
